Pookie Lore
In the spirit of Valentine's Day, we're investigating the internet's favorite couple.
If you’re on TikTok, the odds of you knowing about Pookie and Jett are pretty high.
If you don’t, I’ve provided an example:
I, like thousands of people, are obsessed with Jett and Pookie. I’d consider myself a day-one fan, back in October first seeing their post from Georgia gameday. My first impression of (real name) Campbell and her husband Jett were, albeit, unsavory. I thought it was just another example of a stunning, slightly-cheugy but still chic woman settling for a football-obsessed dud, trying to make her way on TikTok. The comment section agreed with me, and I was left to roll my eyes and continue on with my scrolling.
The more and more Pookie and Jett were served to me, I swiftly became hooked, and experienced overwhelming happiness for the two of them. From their trip to New York where Jett brought Campbell to Carbone one night and The Polo Bar the next, to their trip to Paris where he surprised her with not one but two Hermès bags, to each and every weekend where he brings her Chick-fil-A and flowers in bed, I couldn’t deny the joy that the Puckett’s give with every post.
For the past few weeks, Pookie and Jett have finally made their way into mainstream TikTok mania. Zach Bryan and Brianna LaPaglia made a video in their honor, the Daily Mail is reporting on them, and internet sleuths are tracking down Jett’s LinkedIn to figure out how they could possibly be living in luxury the way that they are.

The root of my obsession, which I think a lot of other people can relate to, is how happy I am for the two of them. On a serious note, it’s not that often we see such unconditional, true love on the internet. They bring an authenticity that makes it hard to believe that they act any differently off camera as they do on, and they show their audience that every Pookie will find their Jett, and every Jett should be treating their Pookie the way he does.
Although I have about zero in common with Campbell (besides the fact that we are both sisters of Phi Mu—LIOB), I look up to her in a weird way. While one of us is 23, living in the East Village, finding only darkness every time she opens a dating app, and physically cannot stand the feeling of pleather on her skin—and the other is living in a southern mansion, married to someone with both a J.D. and an MBA from UPenn, getting gifted Birkin’s and Kelly bags while wearing the biggest faux fur bucket hat I’ve ever seen—it all comes back to the fact that she is unapologetically living her best life.
Even as a self-proclaimed “Love Grinch”, I’m on the edge of my seat to see the grand Valentine’s Day gesture Jett has up his sleeve. Whether it’s in Paris or at the Waffle House, the Puckett’s have a way of making me feel like love is in fact real. I feel strongly that we must protect them at all costs from the inevitable negativity that brief TikTok fame can bring. For now, I hope we can all agree to let them live, and enjoy the wholesome content.
