I’m officially deeming spring as my favorite season in the city.
It’s just so beautiful everywhere. Tulips and daffodils and cherry blossoms, my street is pink! Can you even believe it?

Nothing makes me happier than flowers. I don’t even think I have a favorite, I just love them all.
This week, I exercised my credit card to the max. Everything from home necessities like new shower hooks (you know you’re getting older when you’re waiting by the mailbox for new shower hooks) to a visit to the Chloé store to get a new wallet charm dedicated to this blog, and many, many UPS deliveries in between.

My Shop App basically went into overdrive. I love that app so much, I think whoever started it is a genius. It’s a hub that connects everything I buy, the days of hunting down tracking numbers in my Gmail are over. Now, I can easily see all of my purchases at the same time, when they’re arriving, and make any changes necessary. Here’s a look at what my lineup looked like this week:
Here, you will find:
New lamps, washcloths, a bath mat, and a hand towel from JC Penny (don’t sleep on her)
My Justine Clenquet earrings that I mentioned last week (and are now sold out)
My new Cou Cou intimates bras that I am certified obsessed with
Not pictured is a new Karl-Anthony Towns tee shirt that I got as well. Go New York go New York go New York go. I was at the game a week ago and will be biting my cuticles through the rest of the series. I also bought a new book to read, to which I will start tonight. It’s a posthumous Joan Didion memoir, reflecting from her therapy sessions after her husband passed, titled Notes to John. Sounds like a real bummer if you ask me, but I’m a sucker for Didion and want to be able to say I’ve read as many of her books as possible.
I had some pretty fierce work outfits this week if I do say so myself. For the past almost month, I’ve been struggling to find inspiration for office dressing, probably because the weather has been terrible until Monday, and overall exhaustion. This week, I had some new pieces to flex, things back from the dry cleaner, and a pep in my step. I sported my new Reformation x Devon Lee Carlson collab tee with my Favorite Daughter capris, and more of a businesswoman special look with a vintage Gap buttondown, vintage Jil Sander Trousers, and, you guessed it, vintage Chanel ballet flats. Don’t worry about the other three days of the week.

I love getting dressed in the spring. I had a Cervos’s reservation I’ve been looking forward to for weeks, at the chicest time possible—9:30. I was planning my outfit over and over again in my head, and landed on this vintage cardigan, one of my Cou Cou bras, a Reformation mini skirt from a thousand years ago, my “Give Girls Money” bag from Praying, and my Tabi’s who just returned from a stay at the cobbler. I was also obsessed with my outfit for walking around and shopping on Sunday, which was a vintage Masters crewneck from my mom, my gauchos (‘tis the season), and my trusted Sandy Liang Salomon Moc’s.

At this point of this letter, you may be wondering what the title is all about. Besides the ranch-themed coffee table book I invested in above, I have four words—Ransom Canyon on Netflix.
I’ve always had a bit of a thing for a rancher. Let the record show that I have never dated one IRL, but I’ve been known to read many (many) books centered around city girls falling for their hometown cowboy. Sue me! Instead of life out west riding a gorgeous horse on my acres of land alongside a rugged Prince Charming, I find myself praying for a seat on the M train.
Netflix came out with a series starring Josh Duhamel, Minka Kelly, and a bunch of other extremely hot people, about ranchers fighting tragedy, corporate acquisition, and undeniable love. There’s scandal, there’s romance, there’s twists and there’s turns, and most of all, there are ranchers. I took my time watching it because I didn’t want it to end, but I finally finished it on Saturday, and if you aren’t watching it, I don’t know what you’re waiting for. Lila Garrity has returned to Texas, and I am so thankful for it. Netflix, if you are reading this, I’m begging for you to open the season 2 writers room.
Summer House is a little bit hard to watch right now. Jesse Solomon is evil, sorry. I’m rooting for Lexi to take him down. Never underestimate a girl who has dated both a Beckham and a Gerber before the age of 25. She has a gold medal in bullshit detection, I’m sure. She’s honestly handling it with grace, exactly how you would want to take down your love bombing situationship on television.
Circling back to the Chloé store, they had such a fantastic spring/summer assortment. Chemena Kamali locked in and gave us a mermaid-fueled fantasy that has me begging for a lump sum of money. Shell-themed jewels, fancy jelly sandals, giant hobo bags, I was basically drooling all over the place.

As I began to round out this newsletter, I almost forgot! The charm wasn’t the only thing that made me a Chloé girl this weekend. I went to James Veloria for the first time, and was blown away. While it was much smaller than I thought it was going to be, the prices were the fairest you can find under Houston Street. CDG, Yohij, and Gucci for under $200, it almost felt like I was doing something wrong.
I tried on a few things, but ultimately came home with this blazer for only $170. I fell in love with the lining (no pun intended), and needed something chic like this for the fall and winter months. I’m trying to stray away from everything oversized, and this fit me like a glove with no tailoring required.

I need to freeze my card Confessions of a Shopaholic style. I’m going to a Mets game for the first time this week, and will be limiting myself to one drink and one ballpark frank. It’s lunch from home and make-your-own matcha from here on out.
Karl-Anthony Towns, a transfer from the Minnesota Timberwolves. I'll never let you forget minny <3
