Every day since the last SSENSE Sale left us, I’ve been waiting for the next one.
It’s finally here, and I won’t let myself miss out on some incredible opportunities as I’ve done in years past. I’ve dedicated hard hours into curating a wishlist of life changing wardrobe must-haves, and I’m spreading the wealth.
Here’s everything I will buy, and also won’t buy due to the cost of living I have to face every day, but would buy if I had a disposable income (does this count as manifesting?).
Sandy Liang Mary Jane Pointe Shoes
When I saw these on sale, my heart sank. I considered leaving them off of this list to gatekeep, but then I realized I must truly have a sickness if I think that you all aren’t plenty capable of using your own eyes to see that they were on sale. I’ve been eyeing these for MONTHS, and this seems like an amazing (potentially the only) opportunity to secure them at a discounted price.
GANNI boots are at the top of my personal Christmas wishlist this year. Every time I see someone in the wild wearing them, it solidifies my need. GANNI in general has a really great selection on sale, I got a puffer jacket a few years ago that I wear daily during the winter from the SSENSE Sale, but their boot prices are unbeatable. You can wear them in rain and snow, they look super sleek while remaining durable and comfortable, and there are a bunch of different silhouettes that work with any type of outfit, with subtle differences based on material and height preference.
One of my favorite things to browse on SSENSE is jewelry. They have a strong curation of unique yet wearable pieces for affordable prices, especially from designers who teeter on the unaffordable side. If you’re someone like me who has ears that freak out at nickel or any other artificial materials, this is a great time to capitalize on and stock up.
As a SKIMS stan, you probably could’ve all seen this coming from me. I have the regular scoop-neck soft lounge SKIMS dress, and I’ve worn it far too many times than I’m willing to admit. I’m looking to invest in another, particularly something I can wear out with ease. This one with a keyhole neckline is flattering while different, and 24% off! SKIMS is another brand I would take advantage of in general on this sale, but I know they have their own/it’s on sale almost everywhere else too.
These JW Anderson Ballet Flats
File these under the disposable income category of my wishlist. You all know I live and breathe for a ballet flat, but it’s hard to find ones that not everyone has. I’m obsessed with the color on these, along with the little JW Anderson charms across the ankle. I think it makes them stand out, plus they speak more to winter/spring more-so than fall as it passes.
This Teddy Jacket from The Frankie Shop
The Frankie Shop is up there for me as one of those stores that I would lose myself in if I was given an unlimited budget. I think their coats are great quality and extremely chic, and they have basics that you can rewear forever. I saw this quilted Teddy Jacket in the store and loved it, so for this special price, I might have to act on it.
I’ve been in the market for a new cardholder to use for my everyday instead of a bigger carryall wallet. There’s a strong selection of quality leather and designer carholders, from brands like Chloe, Jacquemus, Margiela, and more.
I wouldn’t call the bag selection this season particularly great, but there are some good options that would be timeless, and smart investments for the long run. Proenza Schouler, Staud, and Chloé—three brands I consider to be great starting points for a more expensive bag—all have some iconic pieces for sale.
My coworker had these in her cart and I stole them for mine as well. adidas shorts really had a moment this summer, and I feel like the pants could offer that same vibe for the colder months. They also fulfill my middle school fantasies of having tear-away track pants.
The day I finally buy myself Tabi’s from the SSENSE Sale may be up there as one of the happiest days of my life. I’ve consistently had them in my cart each season, but can’t bring myself to spend $500 on camel-toed shoes. I know I will personally love and cherish them forever, so like many seasons-past, I will have them marked as a wishlist item until they go back to regular pricing, missing the opportunity once again.
Send this to someone who also treats the SSENSE Sale like their Super Bowl.
